Goals:

Operate a community outreach office.

Provide access to current resource information (and books, videos, cassettes) within the Waterloo Region.

Provide individual support, programs and services.

Assist students with learning disabilities and their parents in becoming effective advocates.

Advance the interests of individuals with learning disabilities in their education, employment and life skills.

Generate and support initiatives which benefit individuals with learning disabilities.

Offer information on LD and promote awareness.

Establish community partnerships to support individuals with LD.

Resource Centre provides support and information to parents, teachers, students, adults and professionals

Extensive and current collection of books and videos on learning disabilities offered.

Resource library of LD “kits” for parents and teachers, literature and advocacy supports available from our office.

Information workshops, presentations and our &annual "Windows TO The Future" conference with special guests who provide informative and interesting dialogues.

Personalized information and support to individuals with learning disabilities.

Quarterly newsletter "The Link" and information bulletins.

Representation on School Board Special Education Advisory Committees (SEAC).

Information on assistive technology available to individuals with LD.
